GoPro CES Booth
From adventure concept to CES reality.
TRADESHOW BOOTH
We were tasked with creating a CES experience that brought the GoPro product story to life on one of the world’s largest technology stages. Working with longtime partner ASTOUND, we designed a consumer journey that mirrored the GoPro experience itself: capture, create, and share.
Environmental screens wrapped the booth in breathtaking GoPro footage, immersing attendees in the brand’s world of adventure and exploration. Interactive product displays featuring dynamic mannequins showcased cameras, mounts, and accessories in action, demonstrating how GoPro gear performs in real environments. One-of-a-kind GoPro vehicles, private meeting spaces, and a theater for large-scale product demonstrations rounded out the experience.
As GoPro’s largest activation to date, the booth quickly became one of the most talked-about destinations on the CES floor. The exhibit was awarded Gold by Event Marketer in the Best Trade Show Exhibit category.
ORIGINAL PITCH CONCEPT
As with many successful pitches, the original concept evolved significantly during development. Early ideas that won the pitch originally included fully immersive GoPro-style physical experiences, including:
• A gravity drop where guests could strap in and plunge three stories with a GoPro capturing the moment
• A quadcopter flight zone where visitors could test their piloting skills
• A virtual surfing environment designed to simulate the thrill of capturing content firsthand
While those elements ultimately didn’t make the final build, the core vision remained intact. The consumer journey, visual language, and scalable design system carried through to the final experience, shaping a booth that still delivered the spirit of the original idea.
SCALABILITY
Beyond CES itself, we designed the environment as a modular system. Individual elements of the booth could be deployed independently, allowing GoPro to extend the investment across additional events and activations throughout the year. The approach ensured the brand could maintain a consistent presence while adapting the experience to different footprints and audiences.
